What Is Tantra?

Tantra is The Wisdom & Methodology of experiencing Oneness Consciousness ~ The Merging of Spirit and Body ~ The transcendent and the imminent ~ Shiva, the Universal Consciousness & Shakti, It’s own Power of Creation ~ We experience Shiva when we turn inside or look at the world from the perspective of equipoise and oneness. That is called the Shiva Drushti.

We experience Shakti in all the infinite pulsation of life. Since Shakti is all we see we can only experience her. However we can be conscious or unconscious in our journey to experiencing Shakti. When we are free from the limitation of judgment – right and wrong, good and bad, dark and light, hatred, separation and alienation, we are more likely to experience Shakti in a conscious way. When we immerse with that experience, she takes us straight to Shiva and we merge in the inner ecstasy of our own being.

To me, that is Tantra.

You Are Perfect!

Wednesday, February 17th, 2016

Do you remember the times when you were a child and you were always full of love, joy totally self expressed never concerned about how the outside world looks at you? Then stuff happened and, little by little, you got more and more contracted, less self expressed and began to believe that something is missing…

We come to this world as this perfect and unique expression of the Divine and nothing can take this away from us. It is the stories we made of all those things that happened to us that veiled that pure light, that beautiful self expressed essence that we never stopped Being. Well most people spend the rest of their life accepting those superimposed limitations. Other, long to be free from constraint of the path & return to their innate knowing of their perfection and wholeness. Yoga is that process of getting rid of what we haven’t gotten which are all those false limited believes about our-self and the world. So the antidote of feeling not enough is to feel enough, to reclaim our self as perfect known as  Purna in Sanskrit.

The meaning of Purna has a very different distinction than the western approach of being perfect. It’s not so much about doing well or achieving the right thing as it is about embracing who we are in our totality and play the “game of life” (that includes our yoga practice) 100%.
Since most of us were conditioned to do as little as possible to get by, being Purna, full, whole and perfect takes a real shift in behaviors and triggers the mind which doesn’t want to change. This is when we know we are transforming from our present state of being as a caterpillar to a beautiful, totally free butterfly! In this process we acknowledge that even the caterpillar is perfect and we fully embrace our self and other as we are.
We see the Divine in each other.

So, join me in class today or tomorrow, so we can reflect this unaffected perfection that sparkles in each other.

Hope to see you in class!
